"Personalization has always been at the heart of Ayurveda."
Neither Food Nor You Are One-Size-Fits-All
Have you ever wondered why the same diet helps one person but doesn't work for another? According to Ayurveda, every person has a unique Prakriti (body constitution) that influences how they digest food, respond to seasons, and maintain balance. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all diet, Ayurveda encourages choosing foods that match your natural constitution.
The Three Prakritis
Vata (Space + Air) generally benefits from warm, cooked, nourishing meals, healthy fats in moderation, and regular meal timings. Pitta (Fire + Water) generally benefits from cooling, hydrating foods, mild spices, and fresh fruits and vegetables suited to the season. Kapha (Earth + Water) generally benefits from light, warm, freshly cooked meals, more spices and variety, and regular movement while avoiding overeating.
It's Not About 'Good' or 'Bad' Foods
The goal isn't to label foods as good or bad — it's to understand which foods are more suitable for your body, at the right time and in the right quantity. Ayurveda also considers your current imbalance (Vikriti), digestive strength (Agni), the season (Ritucharya), and your age, lifestyle, sleep, stress, and activity level. That is why two people eating the exact same meal may experience it very differently. When you understand your body better, making healthy choices becomes simpler and more sustainable.
