Symptom checklist

  • Breathlessness and wheezing on exertion or at night
  • Chest tightness
  • Recurrent cough with sticky sputum
  • Attacks triggered by dust, cold air, or infection
  • Frequent inhaler use through the week

Ayurvedic root-cause view

Tamaka Shwasa: Kapha blocks the Pranavaha Srotas while Vata drives airway hyperreactivity. Weak Agni, allergen exposure, and recurring chest infections keep the airways inflamed.

Conventional vs Ayurvedic comparison

Inhalers are essential for acute control and we never ask you to drop them abruptly. Ayurveda works on the chronic inflammation underneath: Shodhana (Vamana), bronchial herbs, and immunity building to reduce attack frequency and inhaler load over months.

Clinical note

Asthma medications are never stopped abruptly. Doses are tapered only after lung-function stability, in coordination with your treating physician.

Can I stop my inhaler?

Not abruptly, and never on your own. Inhaler doses are tapered stepwise once lung function is stable and flare frequency has genuinely dropped.

Is Vamana (therapeutic emesis) safe?

When properly supervised with preparation and aftercare, it is a controlled classical procedure, and for Kapha-predominant asthma it is often the turning point.

Does this help allergic asthma?

Yes, with allergen mapping added; immunity building in Phase 3 specifically targets the reactivity cycle.

Can children be treated?

Yes, with gentler protocols. Children often respond well because their airway inflammation is shorter-standing.

What about exercise-induced symptoms?

Graded conditioning plus airway herbs usually reduces it; attacks during the transition are still treated as acute episodes.

Why do attacks spike in monsoon and winter?

Cold and damp aggravate Kapha and constrict airways. Seasonal prevention routines are built into the protocol for exactly these windows.

How many months does the full program take?

Typically 4 to 6 months through all three phases, with seasonal reviews after that.
